Position Summary:
Mercy General Hospital Emergency Department is located in the heart of East Sacramento serving over 45000 patients annually. MGH ED is known by the community for its efficient collaborative patient centric care. The department is equipped 24/7 with a fast moving multidisciplinary team ready to admit resuscitate stabilize and treat those whose lives are threatened by time-sensitive injuries. We are accredited by the Joint Commission as a Chest Pain Center with PCI. In addition accredited by the Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center. These are a few of our hospital accreditations that demonstrate our continuous compliance with performance standards and commitment to providing safe and quality patient care.
The ED Leadership Team supports and encourages nurses to enhance their educational expertise and professional development. We pride ourselves on our collaborative governance and decision making which creates and implements new ideas centered on evidenced based practice. We have a team approach to scheduling staffing and assignments that is embraced by the emergency department staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care unit or emergency department.
BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
PALS certification within three (3) months of hire
