Description
We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Sacramento, California. This role involves a variety of accounting processes within our team.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure the accurate and timely processing of invoices, as well as the verification of transaction details.
• Manage and track Accounts Receivable, which includes the generation of invoices and monitoring of payments.
• Prepare, post, and reconcile journal entries in the general ledger for accurate financial reporting.
• Support the preparation and delivery of financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency.
• Participate in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts for accurate financial planning.
• Provide necessary documentation and information for internal and external audits.
• Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records for audit purposes.
Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role
• Proficient in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with Check Runs and Coding Invoices
• Proficient in Data Entry tasks
• Experience in Invoice Processing is required
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software
• Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries
• Experience with Journal Entry Preparation is essential
• Knowledge of Posting Journal Entries processes
• Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) duties
