Boeing Commercial Aircraft, Customer Support is currently seeking an Experienced Avionics Service Engineer (Communication/Navigation/Surveillance) to join the team located in Rzeszów, Poland

Position Responsibilities:

• Works directly with airline customers to address and resolve in-service airplane system issues related to Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance Systems including Comm/Nav Radios, Air Traffic Control System, Traffic Collision Avoidance System, Satellite Communication, Passenger Address, GPS, Weather Data, and the Integrated Surveillance System for all aircraft models through our Boeing Communication System (BCS).

• Monitors potential in-service risks and issues and manages appropriate mitigation plans to assure a successful entry into service.

• Verifies all related Customer Support products.

• Processes Suspect Discrepancy Reports (SDRs), which communicate manufacturing issues that originate from the factory and have escaped to the in-service fleet, by coordinating with value stream stakeholders to determine technical resolution and recommend corrective action to the fleet.

• This position is a part of a global Customer Support team covering 24/7 to support the entire fleet all around the world. Some shift work is expected in order to cover weekends and/or off-hours.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

• 3+ years of Avionics systems work experience.

• Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals, principles and methods in system layout development, component design and electrical system installation.

• Familiarity with the main principles of data preparation and documentation used in aviation production (FAA, EASA).

• Ability to summarize results; develop conclusions and recommendations based on relevant data sources.

• Willingness to travel (c.a. 15% of the time).

• Knowledge of spoken and written English at B2/C1 level including technical language.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience with Avionics – Communications/Navigations/Surveillance Systems and some experience with the design or troubleshooting of Avionics Systems

• Practical experience in engineering analysis (e.g. electrical, avionics, design, circuit).

• Experience with the design or troubleshooting of airplane’s Communication and Navigation systems.

• Knowledge of normative documentation for the design of electrical system components in aviation.
