Need 1 full time, temporary, seasonal Delivery Driver to work in Rushford, MN. From: 05/26/2025 - 12/05/2025 Work: 40 hrs./week, Tue.-Sat. 8 hrs./day, 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Drivers will start and end each day at the listed place of employment. Shift starting and or ending times may vary depending on weather, route, and traffic conditions. The job is seasonal, approximately 6 months per year. Employer may request, but not require, that workers work more than the stated daily hours, on the worker's Sabbath, or on federal holidays. Additional hours are voluntary. All hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Must Apply By: 08/31/2025 JOB DUTIES: Delivering fresh produce from our farm in SE Minnesota to customers around the state. Involves safely driving, fueling, and maintaining delivery truck for delivery of ag products from farm to market. Drivers will load and unload trucks using special loading equipment like fork lifts and pallet jacks. Drivers are expected to follow all safety procedures for vehicle operation & load security. Drivers must possess a valid US State driver's license within 30 days of working, meeting the requirements of a valid driver's license issued by any US state (CDL desired but not required). Being on time and reliable are important responsibilities of the job. Drivers must have the skills and patience to drive in heavy traffic. Manual labor of light, medium, and sometimes heavy lifting is required. Drug screen may be required post hire and will be at employers expense. Failure of drug screen or failure to comply may result in termination of employment. Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures. Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles. Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers. Inspect vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition. Maintain vehicle fuel supply. Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions. Load and unload trucks and vans. Present invoices for goods delivered. Drive vehicles with capacities under three tons to transport materials to and from specified destinations. Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to farm, using telephones or mobile two-way radios. Workers should be able to lift 50 lbs, unassisted. Must have 3 months experience. The employer will furnish without cost all tools, supplies, or equipment required in the performance of work. All terms and conditions include in this job order will apply to all workers, domestic and foreign, employed under this job order. 8 hours of work per day is normal. The worker may be requested but not required to work more hours per day and/or on the Sabbath or Federal holidays on a volunteer basis. Due to changing environmental, crop, and harvest conditions employees may be on call and available to work up to 16 hour days 7 days of the week on a volunteer basis. Employees will be compensated overtime rates pursuant to state and federal laws. JOB REQUIRMENTS: Drivers must possess a valid driver's license for operating a 35' straight truck with a capacity over 26,001 pounds GVW, meeting the requirements of a valid driver's license issued by any US state or a valid US commercial driver's license (CDL) or an acceptable international equivalent. CDL desired but not required. Drivers must have minimum three (3) months experience. Must have the skills and patience to drive in heavy traffic. Manual labor of light, medium, and sometimes heavy lifting is required, including ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. English language desired but not required. No minimum education required. Drug screen may be required post hire and will be at employer s expense. Failure of drug screen or failure to comply may result in termination of employment. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed fo 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer. Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
