A Aerospace Manufacturing Lab Technician in the Rumford, RI area is needed for a multinational power management company. This job ensures material quality and compliance through testing, documentation, and collaboration, supporting audits and process improvements in aerospace production.

responsibilities:
Sample Handling and Testing:
Prepare and label metallographic mounts for process verification (e.g., weld and heat treatment).
Conduct hardness checks for heat treatment cycle verification.
Validate material certifications.
Verify heat treatment cycles.
Follow internal processes for compliance verification and validation.
Quality Assurance and Documentation:
Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory spaces.
Record and analyze test results against specifications.
Identify defects and recommend process improvements.
Prepare quality reports of material testing.
Collaboration and Communication:
Support regulatory, customer, and internal audits (e.g., NADCAP, AS9100).
Assist in developing inspection plans and writing procedures.
Train production personnel in testing methods.
Liaise with the manufacturing and supply chain teams regarding specifications.
