Cisco Account Development Representative - AMER in RTP, North Carolina

Please note this is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will be located in the RTP area as there is an in office component

The Virtual Demand Center is one of Cisco’s fastest-growing sales and marketing teams and is the talent engine for Cisco Sales & Marketing with diverse and motivated teams that consistently deliver profitable growth.

We serve our customers through a series of selling motions to drive higher value and an optimal experience from Cisco solutions to drive relevant business outcomes. As an Account Development Representative, you will gain a deeper understanding of Cisco’s solutions and customers. You will be surrounded by, learn from, and be inspired by some of the best marketing and sales professionals in the industry. You will learn who we sell to, why they care, and what makes Cisco relevant. You will receive continuous enablement and coaching, focusing on skills and attributes that will make you successful in your core role and get you set for future success.

  • Drive new pipeline for assigned target accounts using an Account-Based strategy

  • Target and nurture high-potential accounts by creating qualified opportunities (customer meetings) for the account team through an inbound and outbound motion

  • Work directly with customers to uncover business goals that match with Cisco products, then set qualified introductory meetings for the account manager and/or specialist

  • Share feedback on ways to improve the customer experience, and on ways to improve the existing business processes.

  • Position yourself for success within Cisco by actively participating in continuous learning opportunities

  • Build strong relationships and work closely with leaders in Sales and Marketing where we pull together to enhance the win for our business

Who You’ll Work With

You will learn how Cisco sales and marketing teams work together to drive maximum impact on pipeline and revenue for Cisco. You will receive ongoing coaching to develop your prospecting skills and master the art of discovery, gaining an understanding of how to build compelling sales campaigns and engagements to build lasting links with your set of customers.

In addition to coaching to help develop your sales skills and build your professional network, you have an opportunity to learn from your peers, as well as share your standard processes and coach others and help them grow.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ B2B selling experience in a similar or adjacent industry, start-up, or consultancy company, ideally in sales with tech knowledge

  • You have proven track record and success in understanding market and customer insights

  • Previous experience and success in a lead development or sales prospecting role.
