Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer / Principal Systems Engineer . This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.

What You'll Get To Do:

Seeking a System Engineer with an Electrical Engineering background for the Payloads Team. Duties will include application of technical knowledge to evaluate design and perform technical review and analysis of electrical designs, testing and validation of those designs. Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.

  • Understand and apply system requirements

  • Simulate and evaluate hardware performance

  • Perform model validation through test and analysis

  • Assist in all phases of the system lifecycle including requirements application, design, test, fabrication, and implementation

  • Evaluate electrical hardware performance

  • Maintain design documentation and follow configuration management requirements

  • Create technical reports and present technical information

  • Assistance in planning and scheduling activities

  • Interface with Air Force Customer

  • Interface with subcontractors

Basic Qualifications :

This requisition may be filled at either the Engineer Systems level or Principal Engineer Systems level .

  • Engineer Systems : Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience, 0 years of experience with Master's degree.

  • Principal Engineer Systems : Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 3 years of experience with Master's degree, 0 years of experience with PhD.

Required for Both Levels :

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an Active DoD Secret clearance with an in-scope investigation date within the last 6 years

  • Must be eligible to obtain Enhanced Security Clearances (SAP/PAR) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have

  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance

  • ICBM or Aerospace experience

  • Experience in any of the following:

  • Re-entry vehicles or countermeasures

  • Nuclear Certified Design

  • ICBM Weapon Systems

  • Space vehicle design

  • Design and analysis of electrical systems

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Salary Range: $75,300 - $112,900

Salary Range 2: $92,600 - $139,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
