This is a full-time remote Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Talent & Development Specialist position. SUMMARY: Responsible for providing professional training and development support to managers and staff at corporate and business unit levels of the corporation. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This class specification lists the major duties and requirements of the job and is not all-inclusive. Incumbent(s) may be expected to perform job-related duties other than those contained in this document and may be required to have specific job-related knowledge and skills. 1. Develops engaging and effective training content for instructor-led, video instructor-led, web-delivered virtual training, and self-paced eLearning modules using sound adult learning methods and the best delivery approach. 2. Designs and develops written knowledge guides, worksheets, course manuals, and resources for learners. 3. Creates and implements curriculum evaluations to measure ROI and training effectiveness and to identify and analyze needs. 4. Provide LMS support as needed. Including data entry of information in a web-based training platform, posting course curriculum, tracking enrollment, generating reports, and problem-solving as necessary in a manner that minimizes manual intervention. 5. Partners with SMEs to ensure efficient and effective training implementation by creating implementation plans to introduce new training and development initiatives, including preparation of communication tools necessary to carry out the project. 6. Conducts formal and informal training needs analysis to define requirements, identify problems, and recommend solutions based on the most effective use of resources and having the greatest impact on overall business results. 7. Assists in assessing the instructional effectiveness of course materials that are produced. 8. Conducts and facilitates training to staff via on-site, video-conferencing, and web-conferencing. 9. Serves as a performance coach to determine the best mechanism for performance improvement; performs training interventions as required. 10. Partners with external vendors to enhance training curriculum, as needed. 11. Maintains records and compiles statistical reports concerning activities and program participation. 12. Maintains currency of industry trends, current practices, and new developments. 13. Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team. 14. Promotes and supports the overall mission of Pace Analytical by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with customers and staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, education, organizational development, or a closely related field; AND two (2) years of professional employee development and training experience; OR an equivalent combina ion of education, training and experience. Required Knowledge and Skills Required Knowledge: * Principles, practices, and techniques of employee training and development. * Principles, practices, and techniques of adult learning. * Curriculum development and instructional design. * Computer applications and systems related to the work. * Records management principles and practices. * Techniques for working with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds. * Principles and techniques for providing effective oral presentations. * Principles and practices of program planning, development, and evaluation. * Correct business English, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Required Skills: * Training others in policies and procedures related to the work. * Performing professional-level training and development duties in a variety of environments. * Maintaining accurate records and files. * Carrying assigned projects through, from development to implementation. * Providing consulting services to supervisors and managers. * Preparing clear and concise reports, correspondence and other written materials. * Using initiative and independent judgment within established procedural guidelines. * Using tact, discretion, and prudence in working with those contacted in the course of the work. * Performing effective oral presentations to large and small groups. * Contributing effectively to the accomplishment of team or work unit goals, objectives, and activities. * Effective and efficient use of technology to design, implement, and provide services. * Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of individuals contacted in the course of the work.
