Description

We are in search of a Senior Accountant to join our team in Shoreview, Minnesota. The individual will play a significant role in our financial operations, working closely with the CFO, and leading the accounting team. This role involves a variety of tasks, including the preparation and recording of financial data, participation in leadership meetings, and improvement of accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Accounting Team and work under the guidance of the CFO.

• Prepare and record assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses in accordance with GAAP.

• Participate in leadership meetings, providing data and insights to support decisions on organizational spending or investment.

• Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.

• Support weekly and monthly reporting and financial close process.

• Analyze data sets to identify relevant financial patterns and indicators.

• Develop and deliver accurate monthly financial reports to be presented to senior leadership.

• Drive improvements in accounting processes and identify changes needed to align with GAAP and to lower overall company risk.

• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, Microsoft Power BI, and Quickbooks Online.

Requirements • Proficient in Account Reconciliation

• Experienced in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Skilled in Bank Reconciliations

• Familiar with General Ledger management

• Able to conduct Journal Entries

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI

• Proficiency in Quickbooks Online

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Proven experience in a similar role

• Excellent analytical and numerical skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to handle confidential information

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively

• Continual learning mindset to stay updated with industry trends and developments.
