Responsibilities

Pay Scale: $18.74 - $25.77

Shift: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Job Summary:

Ensures that employee time is processed accurately for the preparation of payroll checks. Responsible for ensuring the timely preparation of all payroll related documents to corporate. Audits to ensure only duly authorized payments are made and that disbursements are made on a timely basis. The HR Coordinator provides excellent service to employees and managers providing redirection and educational opportunities to increase customer knowledge while resolving the current situation.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide training to all KRONOS editors for accurate application of pay codes and work rule transfers and compliance with collective bargaining agreement.

  • Communicates with management to ensure the accuracy of timecard edit log entries to facilitate accurate data transferred to National Payroll.

  • Processes payroll corrections, final payments, PTO Cash Out requests and facilitates overpayment agreements with National Payroll.

  • Runs Point of Sale system (Café. Coffee Cart, Gift Shop) report and submits charges to National Payroll.

  • Prepares spreadsheets for employee Accounts Receivable payments, special employment agreements and other special requests for finance, administration and National Payroll.

  • Calculate, process and submit Employee Fundraising deductions to National Payroll.

  • Runs end of the year reports for processing (annual Childcare subsidy; PTO Lump Sum payments)

  • Requests checks through Accounts Payable for third party payments (ONA, Child Care, etc.).

  • OverseesOregon Sick Hours and Pay.Updates ORST Spreadsheet dated each pay period,Submits corrections as necessary to National Payroll.

  • Responds to all requests for payroll or timekeeping data as requested by Workers Compensation Coordinator and Finance.

  • Monitors special pay policy for compliance.

  • Maintains all payroll and timekeeping documents, files and reports.

  • Responsible for the Kronos Timekeeping system as well as electronic time clocks. Coordinates repairs and updates of the Kronos Timekeeping system. Provides training, guidance and assistance to management and staff.

  • Localcontactfor leaves of absence; workswith LOA Central to address any concerns/pay issues

  • Request certification pay set up for employees obtaining a new cert or an Advanced Degree. Fix issues with employees certification pay.

Qualifications

License/Certification:

  • None

Experience:

  • Two (2) years Payroll, Accounting and/or Human Resources experience required.

  • Experience in Payroll and Timekeeping preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products with advanced skills in Excel.

  • Able to pull data, analyze and provide costing analysis.

  • Must have excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Must be able to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Higher education degree in Business or related field preferred.
