Roosevelt Infusion Therapy Center RN

The RN is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of competent, evidence-based care, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN participates in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve outcomes, and enhance operational efficiency.

  4. Works at maintaining a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with physicians, administration, and staff.

  6. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. 
  7. Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices. 
  8. Arrives to work on time and ready to start. Manages time wisely throughout the shift. 
  9. Demonstrates the Healing Model.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Care may include but is not limited to the following: 
  • Registration, assessment, and vital signs.
  • Place peripheral lines for new patients and provide education on therapy. 
  • IV placement, ultrasound-guided peripheral IV insertions, IV assessment, and care throughout treatment. 
  • Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC Line) insertions, willing to learn and complete the education course when applicable.
  • Chemotherapy certified, or willing to get certification when needed. 
  • Critical thinking on wound care and management of wounds. 
  • Monitor the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.  
  • Uses knowledge and practices by the Standards of Nursing Practice. 
  • Organization and Clerical skills.
  • Recognize and appreciate cultural diversity. 
  • Housekeeping tasks as needed. 
  • Knowledge of the pre-authorization process. 
  • Restock supplies, and organize department needs. 
  • Other duties and tasks assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Utah RN Licensure.
  • Current BLS
