Description

Summary

Director of Residential Program, reports to the Director of Residential Services. S/he is responsible for the management of the facility and its staff, including the delivery of clinical services to patients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

  • Responsible for both administrative and clinical staffs; supervises their hiring, conducts performance evaluations, assigns training activities, recommends for promotions, evaluates for discipline and terminations.

  • Under the guidance of the Director of Residential Services, s/he plans, directs, and coordinates all treatment services for patients.

  • Under the guidance of the Director of Residential Services, evaluates program effectiveness, makes revisions to the program design and/or policies and procedures, as needed.

  • Supervises case conferences, meeting with staff weekly to assess patient progress.

  • Evaluates and monitors program activities (e.g., counseling, seminars and workshops, work assignments).

  • Liaise with the senior administrative and clinical staffs in the region.

  • Ensures that all personnel policies, procedures and clinical regulatory requirements are adhered to by staff.

  • Responsible for administrative functions and reporting, including preparing annual budgets, controlling monthly expenses, scheduling staff, and issuing required monthly reports.

  • Responsible for developing relationships with appropriate government agencies and community service providers, etc.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Mental Health or related field or equivalent gained through combination of education and experience

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

  • NYS LMSW, LCSW, LMHC

  • Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in good standing

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years of experience (combination of counseling and supervisory experience).

  • Familiarity with regulations governing substance use disorder treatment services.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This job operates in an indoor office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers.
