Job Title: Full Case Order Picker - 1st Shift
Job Description
Primarily responsible for supporting the Distribution Center by efficiently picking merchandise located in all order filling zones and labeling each carton in a manner that promotes ease of identification and scanning.
Responsibilities
Accurately pick and label merchandise from primary pick locations.
Identify units of measure and correct merchandise accurately.
Account for damaged merchandise.
Prepare orders accurately and transport them to the Shipping Department.
Meet quality and productivity standards.
Take direction from the Supervisor.
Maintain excellent attendance and reliability.
Adhere to Distribution Center housekeeping guidelines.
Essential Skills
Forklift operation
Order picking
Inventory management
Pallet jack operation
RF scanner usage
Material handling
Order selecting
Shipping and receiving
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to lift 80-120lbs
High School diploma preferred
Commitment to high safety standards and compliance with all safety policies and practices.
Excellent attendance record
Willingness and ability to work overtime when needed
Good comprehension, organizational, and math skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact effectively with other departments and all levels of management
Ability to maintain records accurately and demonstrate problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
Team player with a can-do attitude
Power Equipment certification is a plus
Ability to read, write, and speak English

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rome, New York.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
