​The Commercial Finance Manager will work closely with the Commercial teams to drive profitable growth through optimized planning, execution & monitoring of the commercial plans. A key feature will be driving the RGM (revenue growth management) processes within the business & ensuring it is embedded in the monthly discipline, proactively engaging the commercial teams to ensure we reach our goals. Planning & monitoring the financial impacts of new product launches, investment opportunities & brand performance will also be key.

The position will also be involved in the analysis & planning of the financial statements through the various Budget cycles & month close discipline, with particular focus on the management of A&P.

The role will report to the Hill’s Italy Finance Director and is based in Rome, Italy.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Commercial Finance

  • Lead monthly discipline CBP meetings ensuring that RGM is present as a key element

  • Drive RGM (Revenue Growth Management) mindset in the subsidiary and lead annual cycles with the commercial team

  • Support the Commercial teams in developing the financial elements of their plans & decisions, including but not exclusive to, ROI calculation, forecasting brand profitability and new product analyses

Financial Planning & Closing

  • Lead, prepare & submit Budget/LE/MRE processes by partnering with all functions

  • Prepare & Analyze exhibits for business reviews with FD

  • Analyze brand performance and offer recommendations to drive profitability

  • Manage & control local advertising accruals and prepare their corresponding monthly balance sheet reconciliations

  • Partner with Regional B&P on special projects & ad-hoc requests

Other Activities

  • Manage pricing conditions in SAP

  • Support C2C & the Customer Accounting Mgr. in resolving pricing claims

  • Complete quarterly SOX testing requirements

Education/Experience and Skill requirements:

  • Basic qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Administration, Finance or Accounting

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience

  • Advanced English language skills

  • Basic Italian or willingness to learn it

  • Proficiency in Excel, SAP, Google suite
