Aerotek Traveling Superintendent in Rolling Meadows, Illinois

Description:

Seeking a Construction Superintendent to travel to various jobsites and oversee retail renovation projects. Projects will predominately be in IL, WI, IN and FL.

Day to day responsibilities:

  • Create job schedules (Gantt Charts/Time & Action) using current technology

  • Manage daily job site reports and upload real time reportage to a web based portal

  • Communicate with project management team

  • Manage all aspects of project and deliver on time and budges

  • Manage change orders

  • Ability to work with building departments to obtain permits, inspections, and final closeout documents

  • Manage all sub trades and ensure they are on budget and schedule and that they are coordinating inspections and compliant with pertinent building codes

  • Direct Lead Foreman on all tasks

  • Read and interpret plans

  • Material takeoffs

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a management role on a construction site (project engineer, field engineer, field coordinator, superintendent, assistant project manager)

  • Valid Drivers License & Clean MVR

  • MS Office proficiency

  • Strong communication skills

  • OK with travelling 100% of the time
