Robert Half Medical Receptionist in Rohnert Park, California

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team in Rohnert Park, California. In this contract position, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth patient care and efficient office operations. Your ability to communicate clearly, manage scheduling systems, and maintain confidentiality will be key to providing excellent service to patients and supporting the practice.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome patients warmly and complete timely registration, check-in, and check-out procedures.

• Guide new patients through health history reviews, explain examination processes, and highlight practice features.

• Conduct consultations for new treatment plans and assist patients with understanding their care options.

• Provide support to patients with transportation needs and refer them to outreach programs for eligibility assessments.

• Educate patients about the sliding scale program, collect application details, and handle related inquiries.

• Schedule appointments in alignment with policies and templates, while maintaining the daily practice schedule.

• Manage systems for new patient, emergency, and continuing care appointments, ensuring effective follow-ups for cancellations or no-shows.

• Prepare for patient visits by verifying eligibility, gathering benefit information, and sending necessary documentation.

• Maintain accurate and complete patient records, ensuring strict confidentiality in accordance with practice policies.

• Communicate daily schedule updates to clinical staff, doctors, and supervisors, addressing any financial or consultation needs. Requirements • Familiarity with dental practices and terminology.

• Experience with scheduling and booking appointments.

• Basic knowledge of medical terminology.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow privacy policies.

• Proficiency in using office management systems and tools.
