About the Role

As a member of the Commercial Team, the Strategic Account Manager (SAM) plays a pivotal role at the intersection of Sales & Account Ops. In this customer facing role, SAMs foster and maintain customer relationships to understand sentiment and serve as the voice of the customer to internal stakeholders. SAMs are responsible for leading the strategy, planning, and execution of growth opportunities. Strategic Account Managers leverage their deep understanding of customer needs to drive growth, mitigate risk, and manage awards, working cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure service KPIs are met. Working in conjunction with AEs and Account Ops, SAMs conduct regular business reviews, providing a comprehensive overview of performance across all business lines.

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Serve as the primary liaison for shippers, managing relationships with key decision makers and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each shipper\'s business needs, challenges, and goals to tailor Uber Freight\'s solutions accordingly.
  • Identify opportunities to expand business with existing shippers, drive revenue growth, and improve customer sentiment and retention.
  • Lead and develop contract pricing strategy, partnering with our Pricing teams to execute renewal opportunities, while owning Salesforce opportunity execution and pipeline hygiene.
  • Develop strategy for real-time pricing channels and leverage internal data to drive decision-making.
  • Manage high level customer communications and escalations, proactively reaching out to ensure that service and operations are being executed at a high level.
  • Create content and lead regular business reviews with the customers in your portfolio.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of brokerage experience working with Enterprise accounts in a customer-facing role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first mindset
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, logistics software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

US based employees may also be eligible for a performance or sales incentive bonus program, participation in Uber Freight equity awards, and other types of compensation depending upon the role.

Illinois: The salary range for this role is \$65,600 to \$80,000 a year.
