Job Overview
The Production Supervisor will lead all production, quality, production efficiency, employee performance, safety and housekeeping of a given manufacturing department or departments. All work assignments are to be issued to the employees of the department by the Production Supervisor.
This position will be on a dayshift schedule: 7:00am - 5:30pm.
A Day In The Life
Ensure schedule alignment, department employees are present at the beginning of each shift and in correct work areas.
Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results. Work to continuously improve in all areas.
Supervisor departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provide regular progress reports to operations manager.
Perform accident investigations; recommend actions to prevent reoccurrences of problems.
Facilitate cross training
Resolve employee issues through problem resolution
Spend 80% of shift on the production floor, in assigned department.
Supervision, including employee hiring and retention, performance review and disciplinary actions.
Monitor and maintain attendance records in e-time.
Inventory management and production recording in SAP
What will help you thrive in this role?
Bachelor's Degree preferred by not required
3-5 years supervisory experience in Manufacturing environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Kaizan experience a plus
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles
Must be computer literate.
