Job Title: Systems Engineer (Data Requirements Focus)Job Description

Seeking a Systems Engineer with a focus on Data Requirements. The successful candidate will coordinate a variety of government and contractor data requirements and client coordination artifacts. This role involves evaluating change requests against data requirement artifacts, processing Proposed Notice of Changes (PCNs) against coordination artifacts, and updating with contractor-supplied data requirements. Regular communication with government contractor stakeholders is essential to drive PNOCs to completion. The candidate will also process and review changes to cabling data interfaces and be responsible for cabling documentation contract deliverables twice a year. Participation in data requirements exchanges between government and contractor stakeholders, as well as presenting at data requirement meetings and workshops, is required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate a variety of government and contractor data requirements and client coordination artifacts.

  • Evaluate change requests against data requirement artifacts.

  • Process Proposed Notice of Changes (PCNs) against coordination artifacts to update with contractor-supplied data requirements.

  • Communicate regularly with government contractor stakeholders to drive PNOCs to completion.

  • Process and review changes to cabling data interfaces.

  • Responsible for processing cabling documentation contract deliverables twice a year.

  • Participate in efforts to innovate data requirements exchanges between government and contractor stakeholders.

  • Present at data requirement meetings and workshops consisting of government stakeholders, contractor stakeholders, and Strategic Systems Programs customers.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience with Adobe

  • Strong communication skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of experience, or Master’s Degree and 2 years of experience

  • Experience with office applications and Adobe

  • Demonstrated experience in understanding and meeting deliverable deadlines and programmatic milestones

  • Proactive and problem-solving mindset to resolve higher priority issues

  • Organizational and time management skills to process various changes at once

Work Environment

Engineering-heavy environment with a focus on the Strategic Systems Program (SSP) under the Submarine Weapon Systems (SWS) effort. The team is expanding significantly, with plans to double the staff to over 600 engineers within the next six years. The SSP Program is funded until 2084.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $74.00/hr.
