TAI Maintenance Planner in Rockville, Maryland
Looking for an opportunity to play a critical part in overseeing the maintenance planning of a fast-paced manufacturing environment? TAI Engineering has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler with a background in planning and scheduling calibration and maintenance activities.
Here's a Taste of What You'll Be Doing:
Actively participate and support the planning and scheduling of calibration and maintenance activities in collaboration with management, technicians, internal stakeholders, as well as external vendors ensuring alignment with production schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
Develop, maintain, and continuously improve calibration and maintenance schedules within the SAP PM module.
Proficiently utilize SAP to convert notifications into work orders, assign tasks to appropriate personnel for execution.
Prioritize and sequence work orders based on equipment criticality, regulatory compliance requirements, and available resources.
Partner cross-functionally with Metrology, Facilities, Engineering, Automation, Validation, and internal customers—as well as external vendors—to ensure the on-time and compliant completion of scheduled activities.
Leverage SAP reporting and analysis tools to track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), providing actionable insights to drive continuous improvement.
Proactively monitor schedule adherence, communicate routine updates to stakeholders, and facilitate the timely resolution of delays or conflicts, escalating issues when necessary to maintain operational continuity.
Collaborate with area management to plan activities and resource allocation associated with scheduled plant outages and shutdown activities.
Support in management of external vendors, including scheduling, performance tracking, documentation, and ensuring adherence to service agreements and safety protocols.
Coordinate onsite service provider visits with equipment owners and arrange necessary vendor escorts in collaboration with the appropriate subject matter experts (SMEs).
Participate in investigation of scheduling/planning related problems, perform root cause analysis efforts, and drive resolution.
Support audits and reporting by maintaining accurate records and documentation of calibration and maintenance activities.
Interact effectively with peers, technicians, internal customers, and management to achieve optimal outcomes. Communicate technical information to non-technical individuals regarding potential problems and work to resolve conflicts.
Participate in the required site and on-the-job training.
You'll Be a Perfect Fit if You Have:
HS diploma, technical school, or military training and experience in relevant field.
Four or more years of scheduling/planning experience.
At least a year of experience in a pharma/GMP environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP.
Additional Offering:
Competitive salary offering ($30 - $42 an hour).
