RAMP Accounting Clerk

PURPOSE OF POSITION: To perform finance duties for the agency, including but not limited to organizing, inputting, and verifying our various financial transactions and reports to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. This position also requires an understanding of the principle of the Independent Living (IL) philosophy, and a genuine desire to carry out this philosophy.

POSITION PARAMETERS: Reports directly to the Chief Finance Officer; full-time; full benefits; salaried non-exempt; travel and expenses reimbursed; remote work opportunities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate degree in accounting, or equivalent education and work experience;

Two years of proven, successful work experience related to the position\'s job activities;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present information in a clear, concise manner;

Intermediate knowledge of Excel;

QuickBooks experience, preferred;

Good teamwork;

Intermediate math skills;

Self-motivated;

Ability to analyze and perform research;

Works well under pressure and independently;

Ability to multitask and prioritize;

Detail oriented;

Ability to work well independently through tasks;

Personal experience and/or an intimate knowledge of disability;

Strong desire to see the Independent Living Philosophy carried out in the community.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review and verify financial transactions to ensure accuracy.

Enter invoices, accounts receivables, and deposits.

Enter, print, and mail weekly accounts payable.

Purchasing card reconciliation of entries.

Monthly journal entries and reports.

Prepare quarterly ROI reports.

Filing of finance-related documents.

Bank reconciliation.

Assist in preparing financial reports.

Assist with audit.

Cross-trained in monthly billing.

Assist and support the CFO with other needs.
