IBM Project Manager Assistant in Rocket Center, West Virginia

In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Management Assistant to support our project management team in planning, coordinating, and executing projects efficiently. The position will assist with administrative tasks, track project progress, manage documentation, and communicate with stakeholders to ensure project goals are met on time and within scope.

  • Assist project managers in planning and coordinating project activities.

  • Maintain project documentation, including schedules, reports, and meeting minutes.

  • Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring deadlines are met.

  • Prepare and distribute status updates, reports, and other project-related materials.

  • Communicate with team members and stakeholders to gather information and provide updates.

  • Organize and schedule meetings, including preparing agendas and following up on action items.

  • Support risk management by identifying potential issues and assisting with mitigation strategies.

  • Maintain databases, spreadsheets, and project tracking tools to ensure accurate reporting.

  • Assist in budgeting and expense tracking for projects.

  • Perform other administrative and coordination tasks as needed.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Security clearance with the US Government

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
