Providence St. Joseph Health Patient Services Specialist - Openings in Lacey, Centralia, Chehalis, Olympia an in Rochester, Washington

Description This position works under the direction and supervision of the Clinic Supervisor, Practice Manager or appropriate staff to support in the delivery of cost-effective, clinically competent, reliable healthcare in a safe, respectful manner that ensures patient respect and dignity. Provide effective and efficient front office services to patients for all departments within Providence Regional Cancer System including but not limited to: Providence Medical Group, Providence Centralia Hospital Outpatient Infusion, Providence Centralia Hospital Laboratory, Providence Centralia Hospital Diagnostic Imaging, Providence St. Peter Hospital Lymphedema, Providence Centralia Hospital Pharmacy, and Providence Integrative Cancer Care Program. Coordinate internal and external clinic phone communications among staff, patients, and providers; accurately collect records and ensure distribution to appropriate staff via computer and/or manual systems; perform clerical, scheduling, and records activities in support of patients and staff. Participates as a fully engaged member of the care team, by demonstrated commitment to service and compassion for the patients of Providence and their families. Preferred Qualifications: Coursework/Training - Two years of community college/business school training. Coursework/Training - Additional course work in business or health care related subjects. 1 year of experience working in a medical setting. Physician group practice.
