Rochester Regional Health Supervisor, HIM Records Management in Rochester, New York
Description Job Title: Supervisor, HIM Records ManagementDepartment: Health Information ManagementLocation: Riedman CampusSUMMARY:The HIM Records Management Supervisor under the direction of the Manager of HIM Document Lifecycle Management (DLCM) assists with ensuring daily operational functions are met across the RRH HIM DLCM Function based area. The HIM Records Management supervisor acts as the HIM DCLM liaison in the absence of the manager. The HIM Records Management Supervisor will be responsible for addressing questions and issues in the absence of a manager or when available onsite. The HIM Records Management Supervisor responds to both storage requests and scanning issues requiring immediate follow up. The Supervisor will be responsible for reporting and auditing requests from various systems at the request of the manager. RESPONSIBILITIES:Collaborates with peers in the development and standardization of improved and automated workflows within the electronic medical record system and other applicable systems.Participates in EHR design and build sessions.Assists management in development of training documentation/instructions for end users.Assists management in creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and with review and updates to RRH HIM policies.Assists management with outreach and training internal and external team members on new functionality/workflows/identified areas of opportunity.Provides feedback to management on performance issues or concerns. Analyzes errors and provides corrective action plans and suggestions to manager. Participates in data capture and reporting through the writing and development of ad-hoc reports from the EHR, OnBase and other applicable systems.Knowledgeable in data and reporting manipulation through Excel, as well as the ability to leverage other components of the Microsoft Suite.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or equivalent required.3+ years of experience in Health Information Management, Customer Service, or IT. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Excellent computer and customer service skills.Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding health information.Ability to work under pressure with time constraints.Ability to maintain confidentiality.Ability to work autonomously, multi-task and prioritize effectively. Initiative-taking, self-motivated, and able to adapt to shifting priorities in support of clinical and business operations. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.PAY RANGE: $23.00 - $24.75 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
