JOB SUMMARY
The Millwright/Metal Fabricator will work in our Maintenance/Metal Shop and report to the Brewing Maintenance Manager. This role will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, installing, repairing and inspecting machinery and heavy equipment in manufacturing settings in order to keep them in good working order.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the unassembled equipment when it arrives at the job site.
Capable of reading blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures, assemble, dismantle, and overhaul machinery and equipment.
Operate lathes, milling machines, grinders shafting, precision bearings, gear boxes, motors, mechanical clutches, conveyors, and tram rails using hoists, pulleys, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
Responsible for involvement in routine tasks, such as lubrication of machinery, bearing replacement, seal replacement, and cleaning of parts.
Demonstrate a good understanding of fluid mechanics (hydraulics and pneumatics) and all of the components involved (valves, cylinders, pumps, and compressors)
Ensure work is within precise limits or standard of accuracy.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
3-5 years of experience, the majority being in the following:
MIG-TIG-Stick Welding.
Layout and fabrication of stairs, ladders, and platforms.
Sheet metal layout.
OSHA-required safety guarding experience preferred.
Rigging in new equipment and dismantling of old equipment.
Mechanical power transmission, v-belt drives, chain drives, gears and couplings, and industrial fans and blowers.
Basic computer skills, including CMMS and Microsoft Office.
Thorough understanding of the load-bearing capabilities of the equipment used.
Ability to use logical step-by-step procedures in work, plan, solve problems.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and direction.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to frequently walk and climb stairs as well as push, pull, climb, crawl, and bend.
Must be able to operate hand tools and machinery as needed.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
Must be able to work in extreme fluctuations of temperature and conditions (including indoor in a factory, outdoors on property, and bench work in a maintenance shop)
Must be able to work in moderate to high noise levels.
Must be able to work in cellars in cool, damp spaces, confined spaces, and overhead work.

The starting pay rate is $27.97/hour for an apprentice, and $33.74-37.98/hour depending on experience and qualifications, as set forth in the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
