Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join our team at our Rochester, NY facility
Essential Functions:
Generate weekly reports for the factories calibrated assets due, utilizing Excel.
Coordinate and manage the movement of assets from the calibration lab and into the factories.
Coordinate with operations, test engineering support and sustainment teams on replacement timing and validation.
100% on time calibrated assets.
Coordinate the repair and replacement of damaged/irreparable assets.
Support minor station and equipment issues when replacing assets.
Responsible for identifying shortages in equipment inventory and spares.
Responsible for factory audits based on PM system.
Familiarity with NI MAX software to interact with GPIB and IP based equipment communication.
Ability to communicate effectively with cross functional teams to coordinate equipment swaps.
Ability to periodically lift to 50lbs, if team lift is not possible.
Traversing across the production floor for the duration of their shift (up to 12 hours)
Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant manufacturing experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior manufacturingrelated experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Highly motivated self-starter who’s able to operate with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of manufacturing systems, production processes, technical standards, and assembly equipment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills including experience with MS Office products like Word and Excel.
Exposure to Lean Manufacturing principles like 5S, error proofing, standard work, and quick changeover.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (software) and processes.
Experience with industrial manufacturing including electro-mechanical assembly.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $19.19 - $29.81. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
