Job Title: HVAC Installer

Job Description

A Commercial HVAC Installer is tasked with installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial buildings. This role demands a thorough understanding of HVAC systems and a keen eye for detail. You'll be working with sheet metal, piping systems, and refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities

  • Install HVAC systems: Set up ductwork, units, and thermostats according to blueprints and technical diagrams.

  • Perform routine maintenance: Replace filters, lubricate parts, and check system pressure to ensure efficient operation.

  • Troubleshoot and repair: Diagnose and fix HVAC system failures or breakdowns.

  • Ensure compliance: Verify that HVAC systems meet safety and environmental regulations.

  • Collaborate with other professionals: Work with electricians and plumbers during installation or maintenance tasks.

  • Maintain records: Keep detailed records of all installation and repair work for future reference.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of HVAC Install experience (Commercial or Residential)

  • OSHA 10 Certification

  • EPA Certification

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics

  • Knowledge of mechanical, refrigeration, boiler, duct work, and sheet metal

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in working with sheet metal

  • Possession of relevant certifications for HVAC installation.

Work Environment

We have high expectations for our employees, but in return, we offer a lot of freedom, which comes with responsibility. You will be driving to job sites within a 30-mile radius of our headquarters in Rochester, NY. Project sizes vary based on the client and location. Our typical working hours are from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with a half-hour lunch break.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
