Heritage Christian Services Director of IT Applications in Rochester, New York

Overview

Heritage Christian Services is seeking a Director of IT Applications as part of the senior IT leadership team This position will be responsible for overseeing the management and optimization of the application systems for the agency. The role will Partner with various leaders to support HCS programs and organizational goals related to IT systems and data strategy. The Director will lead a team of application analysts and specialists to deliver exceptional products to our customers and internal stakeholders.

Pay rate for this position: $73076 - 97435 / year

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above range represents the organization's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of analysts, providing guidance, coaching and support while fostering a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging innovation and professional growth.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and understand business requirements and system needs.

  • Acquire and maintain a solid understanding of organizational goals and strategies. Support strategic goals by making recommendations related to application selection, migration, and optimization.

  • Contribute to the creation and evolution of IT strategy. Creates and executes plan to support organization’s IT related goals.

  • Provide routine updates to the executive team on progress towards meeting departmental and organizational goals.

  • Partner with senior leaders to propose solutions and prioritize backlog of work requests.

  • Assess existing enterprise information systems to identify gaps, inefficiencies and areas for improvement.

  • Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of systems, including functionality, performance, security and scalability, while providing recommendations for system enhancements, upgrades or replacements based on analysis findings.

  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external partners, including providing high quality solutions, managing customer expectations, and handling difficult situations in a timely manner.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on business impact and urgency.

  • Oversee the implementation of new systems or system upgrades, ensuring proper testing, training and change management processes are in place.

  • Manage and oversee projects; ensuring timely delivery of milestones, coordinating and communicating effectively with cross-functional teams to drive project execution and resolve any issues or obstacles, and regularly reporting project status and updates to stakeholders and senior management.

  • Manage rollout of technology tools, including SharePoint, that are to be used throughout the enterprise to increase efficiency, collaboration, and communication

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in enterprise information systems, while identifying opportunities for process improvements, automation and efficiency gains within the organization’s systems landscape.

  • Establish and enforce governance frameworks, policies and procedures related to enterprise information systems analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field required

  • Minimum of 6-9 years of progressively responsible IT experience in a healthcare environment (preferably a Provider setting), and three (3) years of management/leadership experience required.

  • Experience with EHR (electronic health record) systems is strongly preferred.

  • The ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems. Required to be skilled in troubleshooting and problem-solving, and can demonstrate the ability to be able to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills in systems design, development and operations

  • Proficiency in analyzing complex business processes and translating them into system requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Must be able to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to analyze data and identify patterns and trends in order to make recommendations for process improvements and product enhancements.

  • Excellent skills in collaboration and teamwork. Ability to work effectively with other members of team, as well as with other departments within the company.
