TelCom Construction Aerial Foreman in Rochester, Minnesota

Overview and Essential Functions

Looking for your next career move in one of the largest growing industries in the country? TelCom Construction is a telecommunications contractor hiring a full-time Aerial Crew Foremen. The foreman's primary function is to lead their assigned crew while working in the field setting.

What will you do?

  • Provide communication and direction to crew members

  • Performing duties of aerial lineman

  • Implement and perform steps to complete jobs in a timely manner

  • Setting daily production goals

  • Conducting daily walk-throughs

  • Ensuring DOT documentation

  • Monitoring and adhering to all safety processes and procedures

  • Conducting weekly tool box talks

  • Maintaining and submitting required reporting

  • Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Appropriate aerial training and previous experience in a similar position with a focus on crew leadership

  • Knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques

  • Ability to climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck and work aloft and climb poles up to 40 feet

  • Able to perform all duties in telecommunications construction (such as; pole transfers, maintenance builds, new build, cable installation, over lash, and strand construction)

  • Able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs as needed with or without assistance

  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to give descriptive and respectful direction

  • Basic computer skills required, experience with Google apps a plus!

  • A valid drivers license required with a good driving record is required

  • Unrestricted Class A CDL is a plus (Higher wage scales apply to CDL holders)

  • Must be able to pass and maintain a DOT health card

  • Ability to interact and communicate with co-workers & customers in a clear & professional manor

  • Ability to set up & maintain safe work areas

  • Ability to work in all weather conditions

  • Ability to travel when travel is required
