Eaton Corporation Receiving Team Member - 2nd Shift in Roanoke, Virginia

Eaton’s EPG CHD EP Americas division is currently seeking a Receiving Team Member - 2nd Shift to join our team in Roanoke, VA. The core hours are 3:30pm-12:00am.

The hourly rate for this position is $20.08 per hour plus $1.25 per hour shift differential.

What you’ll do:

  • Audit inbound freight for accurate count, damages, and examine products to ensure damaged products are not used in assembly

  • Perform purchased goods processing

  • Maintain discrepancy logs of each vendor and create scorecards for each

  • Work with inbound vendors to correct all discrepancies

  • Maintain and distribute reports

  • Use RF (radio frequency) units to scan barcodes

  • Relocate incoming shipment to identified location

  • Monitor equipment to ensure proper functioning

  • Be able to perform transactions including SAP Receipts, Inter-Company Transfers, Cycle Counts, Bin to Bin Transfers, PCC Functions

  • Must have the ability to pick, pack and perform bin checks and putaways

  • Cross-train and flex in other departments/work areas as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship

  • No relocation is provided for this opening. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of Roanoke, VA will be considered

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous warehouse experience

  • Previous experience using stand up or sit down lifts

Skills:

  • Follow safety procedures for equipment used to reduce potential for accidents

  • Use box cutters to cut packaging materials

  • Be able to operate a stand-up lift

  • Ability to lift products to proper staging location

  • Ability to work overtime as necessary

  • Ability to learn to operate sit down lift if not already trained

  • Ability to learn or have knowledge of SAP processes
