Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Export Packer will efficiently and accurately package shipments to meet daily KPI expectations along with established domestic and International hazardous material safety handling and transportation regulations. This position must accurately document inventory tracking paperwork such as correction sheets, requests for stock logs, and damage write-off logs along with performing JDE transactions such as inquiries on orders and items. The Packer will safely operate packaging and shipping equipment including but not limited to electric and manual hand jacks, strapper, wrapper, carton scales, corner board saw, and pallet scales. The Packer will ensure that proper company documentation and inventory tracking procedures are followed in a manner that will maximize shipping cost containment and sustain customer delivery schedule. The Packer will perform and execute efficiently the following task within Precision and JDE Scan Pack Orders: with the logic to delete or PR cartons. Bulk Pack Orders: with the knowledge to change quantities, weights. Team Pack Orders: (month and quarter-end) verify item information in JDE i.e. hazardous or non-hazardous, canceled or PR’d cartons. Adhere and practice the 5S program in their work area, PPE, and safety guidelines and pursue World-Class Excellence.
Experience and Education:
High School Diploma or secondary GED desired.
Knowledge and ability to apply the use of Personal Computer and the following applications: Excel, Word, and Windows
Good working knowledge of JDE and perform accurately all JDE transactions relevant to position
Forklift Certification a plus
Knowledge of and the ability to apply basic math skills; i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division as well as apply metric conversions
The ability to lift 10 - 35 lb cartons continually throughout the day, occasionally lifting up to 50 lb cartons
The ability to operate safely and efficiently electric pallet jacks
Ability to stand and work on feet all-day
Must pass Hazmat certification program
Employees can be assigned to performing multiple tasks in other departments as needed
