Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a Landscape Design & Construction Manager to join our team! In this role you will be playing an integral part in bringing together a team of consultants & contractors as the project management function for delivery of a confidential project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

What You'll Be Doing:

Working within the PMC team, you will lead the complete design & construction management for all landscaping works on the confidential project to ensure delivery of Parsons’ contracted scope of works. The role requires that you serve as the primary point of contact with the client for all landscape design related activities on the project, directly managing the consultant & contractor teams to ensure successful completion of deliverables according to the client’s requirements, project brief & schedule, and consultant & contractor scope of works. Prior experience must include significant hands-on landscape design & construction management experience

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the company representative with the client, consultants, designers and contractors for the complete execution of the landscape design & construction program and Parson’s project management scope of works

  • Manage and direct the consultant landscape design team to ensure full delivery of contracted scopes of work and seamless coordination between design and construction programs

  • Continuously review design program requirements across all areas of the landscape design requirement to ensure the consultant teams deliverables are simultaneously aligned

  • Oversee review of Management Plans, Baseline Program, Cost & Contractual documents, Engineering & Construction related documents and other documents as required to ensure landscape design program requirements are incorporated

  • Attend & contribute to weekly design progress & engineering progress meetings with the design consultants & contractor, and client and interface coordination meetings.

  • Monitor the progress of all project activity within the landscape design & construction program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule.

  • Assist with establishment of the Construction Management Plan, Site Specific Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required.

  • Inspection – The selected candidate will have experience in and will be expected to supervise inspectors on assigned landscape projects.

  • Supervise the work of landscape contractors and subcontractors.

  • Ensure the subcontract files are maintained with current insurance certificates and correspondence. Monitor subcontractor expenses versus budget. Prepare draft amendments.

  • Prepares and negotiates changes to the scope of work with the client, consultants and key contractors and subcontractors as necessary.

  • Quality - Establish the QA/QC Plan including development of the inspection & test plan.

  • Supervise setup and accreditation of the onsite landscape materials samples approvals

  • Safety – Coordinate with the Parson’s HSE team on all safety and emergency procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture with a major in Landscape Architecture, or Bachelors of Horticulture

  • 15+ years of landscape design & construction management experience with related projects, including across both soft and hardscape works.

  • Prior experience in overseeing and managing the construction of major capital improvement projects

  • Demonstrated proven ability in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices, regulations and international & local design standards is required.
