Job Description Summary
Reporting directly to the Country Business Leader and dotted line to the VAD Marketing Manager, The Business Development Manager ensures the achievement of the sale targets of the related portfolio and the vendor/distributors in the region in accordance to the driven strategies. Will be responsible for the achievement of profitability targets and controlled growth. Build relationships with key partners such as KOL’s. Pro-actively sense the trends in the healthcare environment and position BD value added solutions.

Responsibilities:-
Ensuring Regional Sales and profitability in line with monthly and quarterly targets & for the development and implementation of sales strategies determined for the region assigned.
Collaborating with the Sales, Marketing, Clinical and Medical Affairs teams to ensure that the BD VAD portfolio lifecycle is managed accordingly and accurately.
To truly liaise with sales teams to engage with customers, define priorities, targets and closely collaborate to common customers programs targeting higher market penetration to VAD portfolio.
Establish the success of VAD portfolio by developing the market, building brand/category awareness, in target customers by interacting with the different stakeholders such as Nurses, Doctors, Hospital management, C-Suit, Procurement, Quality departments, Distributors and KOL’s.
Works in harmony with the tender law and principles of BD and works in cooperation with the Law department when deemed necessary.
Tracks the performances of distributors who are responsible in the region to reach BD sales targets on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis and manages them together with the sales teams to reach sales targets. Involved in distributor selection and placement processes from beginning to end; distributor detection, evaluation, contract, performance follow-up, termination.
Be a member of the local Leadership team contributing to the accurate forecasting, budgeting and strategic review as well as sales tactics.
Become an expert, a reference in Vascular Access
To segment the market, define preferred targeting, map decision makers to suggest size of the opportunities and advice the best Go-to-market-model and to manage distributor to reach the necessary category shares with the operational part executed by those distributors and BD sales teams.
Regularly receives and reports monthly sales forecasts, distributor stock levels, distributor site sales, device and sample usage reports, and weekly visit and activity reports.
Ensures SFDC is regularly used by the sales teams for forecasting and reporting of daily activities.
Works in accordance with the laws of the United States and Saudi Kingdom to which BD is subject and Works in compliance with BD working principles, ensures that its team works within the framework of these rules . Works in cooperation with the Legal Department to ensure compliance with legal requirements and to minimize the legal risks of the company.
Preferred Requirements:
Degree level qualification or equivalent is need. Life sciences would be a plus. Post graduate certificate level qualification or equivalent, in business management would be advantageous
Minimum 5 years sales experience in Healthcare, with minimum 2 years of indirect leadership experience. At least 2 years of Business Developing experience. Direct experience in Vascular Access is a plus. Medical Devices experience is a plus.
Experience of working with government procurement entities and/or NGO tenders are desirable (NUPCO)
Previous experience interacting, communicating and negotiating with Hospitals C-Suite members.
Must have a proven successful sales track record, solid negotiation skills, understanding of buyer/decision maker types, exhibit effective selling, listening, and verbal/presentation skills, and ability to assess and respond to customer needs
Action orientated with the ability to drive for results and meet targets
Proficiency in English & Arabic (spoken and written).
Able to work independently and prepared for frequent travel within the region
Strong strategic thinker who anticipates trends and competitive activity.
