This position is for candidates with the ability to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. Participation in compliance, interaction with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes are also expected tasks. You might be our ideal candidate, if you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.
Key responsibilities
Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision
Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management
Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner
Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request
Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives Requirements - Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Notable analytical, quantitative and social skills
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
Skilled with ERP systems
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
