Job Description:

As a UX Research Lead, you’ll partner with designers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to drive user understanding and design strategy for our credit card and banking platforms. You’ll lead primary research studies, apply behavioral insights, and translate findings into powerful narratives that influence decisions at every level.

What You'll Do

  • Lead qualitative and quantitative UX research — including usability studies, surveys, co-creation sessions, and ethnographic work — across mobile and web experiences.

  • Translate business goals and customer needs into focused research objectives and hypotheses.

  • Plan and execute end-to-end research projects: define scope, recruit participants, moderate sessions, analyze findings, and present actionable recommendations.

  • Conduct heuristic evaluations and provide expert feedback on design concepts and prototypes.

How You'll Do It

  • Collects, interprets, and synthesizes industry competitive and market trend data. Identifies themes and trends to support the development of actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Develops and delivers reports recommending actionable insights in support of business decisions.

  • Compiles and maintains a database of competitive intelligence data. Tracks alerts and deliverables to keep the business well informed on competitive activities.

  • Implements standard competitive data collection processes.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external research vendors to deliver high-quality, timely insights.

  • Integrate insights from analytics, voice of customer, and behavioral data for a holistic view of user needs and experiences.

  • Champion inclusive design through accessibility testing and user advocacy.

  • Craft clear, compelling deliverables — from visual dashboards to video highlights and executive-ready narratives — that inspire action and impact.

Qualifications You'll Need

The Basics

  • Bachelors Marketing, Business Administration and Management

  • 2+ years Marketing, communications, or related

  • In lieu of degree, must have at least 4+ years Marketing or Business Insights project manager or related

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Degree in Marketing, Psychology, Anthropology, HCI, Business Strategy, or related field

  • 3+ years of UX research, consumer insights, or human-centered design experience

  • 4+ years of hands-on UX research experience (moderating, analyzing, reporting)

  • Background in behavioral science or applied psychology

  • Accessibility testing and inclusive design experience

  • Familiarity with agile environments and fast-paced product teams

  • Financial services or regulated industry experience a plus

  • Strong storytelling, visual communication, and executive influence skills

  • Comfortable juggling multiple projects and shifting priorities with ease

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $77,500.00 to $131,500.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
