Peopleready Skilled Trade is now hiring forConstruction Superintendent. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to start immediately.

Note: The hourly rate for this position is $35 - $40 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.

Responsibilities:

  • They oversee the day-to-day operations on the construction site and ensure that all construction activities are performed in a safe and efficient manner

  • The duties and responsibilities of a Construction Superintendent include: Overseeing all stages of project life cycle and ensuring work is completed on time and within budget

  • Managing the coordination and activities of construction workers and subcontractors

  • Ensuring all work complies with building codes and safety regulations

  • Performing regular inspections of construction sites to monitor progress and adherence to project specifications

  • Communicating project status to stakeholders, including owners, architects and construction managers

  • Solving problems that may arise during construction, including conflicts between workers, unforeseen site conditions or weather delays

  • Reviewing and interpreting construction plans and specifications

  • Ensuring all necessary permits and licenses are obtained before construction begins

  • Ordering and managing the use of materials, tools, and equipment

  • Training and mentoring construction workers and junior staff members

  • Documenting project progress and reporting any discrepancies or changes in the original plan

  • The construction superintendent is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to our client's satisfaction

  • Our ideal candidate has a solid background in the field, with outstanding organizational and leadership abilities

  • They must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures, capable of coordinating different teams, and can effectively manage and resolve issues that emerge during construction projects

  • Supervise the operations of construction sites from planning to completion

  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques

  • Manage and supervise construction workers and subcontractors

  • Coordinate and oversee all work on site

  • Review and monitor project progress for timely completion

  • Resolve issues and delays promptly to maintain schedules

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes

  • Prepare and submit reports on work progress and budget matters to management

  • Communicate with clients, construction crew, and other stakeholders effectively

  • Identify and implement improvements in construction execution and process efficiency

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent

  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines

  • Ability to interpret and read architectural blueprints and design specifications

  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Problem-solving capabilities

  • BSc/BA in Construction Science, Engineering, or relevant field is preferred
