The Robert C. Vackar College of Business and Entrepreneurship is AACSB -accredited at the graduate and undergraduate levels and offers a Ph.D. in Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Management, and Marketing.

Minimum Qualifications

The qualifications to be considered for a part time lecturer are: 2 years of teaching experience at an AACSB accredited university, 4 years of professional experience, an active CPA license, and master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation from an AACSB accredited institution. The candidate must be able to obtain clearance by TSBPA to teach Ethics in the State of Texas.

Discipline Specific Required Qualifications

Must be scholarly/instructional practitioners under AACSB guidelines; be an effective teacher’ and have effective oral and written communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualification

Ability to maintain collegial, collaborative relationships with the faculty and administrators; and ability to foster quality teaching and service.

Texas law requires faculty members whose primary language is not English to demonstrate proficiency in English as determined by a satisfactory paper-based test score of 500 (computer-based of 173 or internet-based of 61) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language ( TOEFL ) or a satisfactory test score of 6.0 on the International English Language Testing System ( IELTS ).
