Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Intern to join our Biostatistics and Data department located at our Ridgefield facility. As an Intern, you will will work with a senior-level statistician on a research project related to the pharmaceutical industry and/or clinical trials. Potential topics may include survival analysis, Bayesian methods, dose-finding, data visualization etc. with applications to oncology, immunology, cardiology, respiratory, central nervous system disorders, or clinical research in general.

Duties & Responsibilities
Work with a senior-level statistician on a research project related to the pharmaceutical industry and/or clinical trials
Present your research results at the end of the program
May have the opportunity to summarize your work in a peer-reviewed publication
Requirements
Must be an Undergraduate, Graduate, or Professional Student in good academic standing.
Must have completed 12 credit hours within a related major and/or other related coursework.
Overall, cumulative GPA (from last completed quarter) must be at least 3.000 (on 4.0 scale) or better (No rounding up).
Major must be related to the field of internship.
Eligibility Requirements:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
Must be 18 years of age or older
Desired Skills, Experience and Abilities
Graduate student in fields related to statistics, biostatistics, data science, computer science, or mathematics
Solid background in NLP, Generative AI and hands-on experience and solid understanding of machine learning and deep learning methods and familiar with large language models
Demonstrated proficiency in Python, R, and / or SAS. Experience with high-performance computing servers is also required.
Ph.D. candidate with at least 2 years of study is preferred
Good written and oral communications skills strongly preferred
