Optiv Sr. Identity Engineer - Clearance / Cert Required in Richmond, Virginia

A Senior Engineer is an individual who operates independently without direct supervision who is responsible for leading the delivery of an engagement with the sole intent of providing immense value for Optiv + ClearShark’s customers. To be successful in this role, a Senior Engineer will be expected to not only maintain a mastery in a capability aligned with Optiv + ClearShark’s service practices, but also developing pathways towards future opportunities they would like to explore. Additionally, they will be expected not only to execute all tasks provided in a statement of work, but also be expected to lead a team of Associate, Level I, and Level II Engineers in their day-to-day operations and career development. This individual will be the most senior engineer on a project and will be expected to assist Associate, Level I, and Level II Engineers with tasking. Excellent communication skills along with sufficient leadership skills are essential for this role, as these individuals will interact with clients and engineers regularly in a leadership capacity.

How you'll make an impact

  • Analyze, design, modify, configure, integrate, test, validate and deploy identity solutions to meet mission requirements.

  • Identify and document the architecturally significant aspects of the system(s), including requirements, design, implementation, and deployment “views” of the system.

  • Support client requests utilizing existing ticketing systems and queues.

  • Ensure compliance with all customer architecture standards, security regulations, and customer approved identity architectures for Enterprise IT systems.

  • Work with the government COR and Directory Services organization to ensure Delinea (Centrify) Server Suite best practices are adhered to.

  • Establish and maintain the architectural requirements of identity software solutions.

  • Assist customers troubleshoot identity solution connectivity issues to the domain.

  • Troubleshoot user authentication issues and server domain join issues.

  • Work with identity vendor support to submit bug fix request, software functionality issues, and security concerns.

What we're looking for

  • Currently holds a US Security Clearance (Secret up to Top Secret SCI with a full-scope poly)

  • DMV area, specifically Washington, D.C., Maryland, or Virginia preferred.

  • Experience operating in classified environments.

  • Related degrees and/or equivalent experience and 6-8 years of Identity Access Management (IAM) platform work experience.

  • Must have strong knowledge and understanding of Identity Access Management principles, authentication and authorization, and resource provisioning methods.

  • Experience designing, deploying, integrating, and administrating Identity Software solutions.

  • Experience and working knowledge of Linux, Windows, and Windows Active Directory.

  • Security+ Certification equivalent or higher security certification required.

  • Strong understanding of governance and compliance, specifically with FAR, DFARs, CUI and CMMC.

  • Broad understanding of FedRAMP and IL constructs.

  • Strong understanding of leadership concepts and ideas.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

  • Experience leading an engineering team, preferably having handled tasking, resolving personnel issues, and providing actionable feedback.

  • Ability to clearly communicate complex messages to a variety of audiences.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Willingness to travel to meet client needs.
