The Senior Risk Management Professional identifies and analyzes potential sources of loss to minimize risk. The Senior Risk Management Professional works assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
The Senior Risk Management Professional leads Medicaid state implementations and run the business monitoring and oversight to minimize operational risk. The Senior Risk Mangement Professional is responsible to review Medicaid contracts and documents the Payment Integrity Unit responsibilities. Will work closely with key stakeholders, to track and assist in the development of process considering upstream/downstream impacts. Will conduct legal research when requested. Key activities include developing RFP (request for proposals) responses to program integrity questions posed by clients and tracking of readiness review submissions, which sometime includes developing narrative responses.
The Senior Risk Management Professional begins to influence department’s strategy by interpreting contract requirements, state statutes, etc. Assesses and communicates information regarding business risks with functions across the organization. Completes various risk management and business continuity projects as assigned by leadership. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Is able to identify upstream and downstream impacts.

Required Qualifications
3+ years' experience in the Medicaid line of business
3+ years' experience reading and interpreting contracts
Strong written communication skills
Strong organizational skill
Proven ability to collaborate with multiple business units
Proven ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to work multiple projects
Flexibility in schedule
Preferred Qualifications
Legal background (paralegal, attorney)
Legal research experience
Compliance audit/readiness review experience
Payment Integrity experience

WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$86,300 - $118,700 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
