Data and Analytics Engineering - Platform team is critical to making our organization's data strategy successful. You will play a key role in building and managing modern, adaptive, data-driven, and secure platforms and processes to enable Data & Analytics Engineering. You should have strong fundamentals of Data/Software Engineering, DevOps, and hands-on experience with Azure Cloud services. You will work on cross-functional initiatives and projects.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Build, deploy, and configure Azure infrastructure, including but not limited to Azure Data Factory, storage, key vaults, virtual networking, virtual machines, and automated deployments
Automate infrastructure deployment through Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines
Evaluate and automate the scaling and capacity requirements within Azure environment
Implement, setup, configure, monitor, and maintain cloud based Data & Analytics platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake. Troubleshoot and resolve environment performance issues, connectivity issues, security issues
Make recommendations and execute cost saving strategies for Cloud services
Self-directed and able to balance the priorities of multiple teams, systems, and products with a leadership mindset
Work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
Streamline development and operation processes via continuous integration, deployment, automated testing while leveraging SRE principles
Drive efficient resolution for system outages as well as performance and functional shortcomings. Engage in critical support situations and effectively, efficiently, and quickly drive successful resolution
Design and implement solutions that leverage cloud services such as serverless computing, containers, and data lakes.
Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years Cloud Platform Engineering experience in an enterprise-level environment
Advanced proficiency with Python, SQL, GitHub, Azure DevOps, Bicep/Terraform, PowerShell is required. Deep understanding and hands on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, and configuration management automation tools is required
3+ years of DevOps experience with a clear understanding of related tools, structure, and processes working in an Agile/Scrum setting
1+ years leading the end-to-end design and development of scalable services to be consumed by the enterprise, including monitoring and production support
Excellent communication skills, adapting to various audience types
Experience on a fast-paced, highly collaborative agile team within a Product-oriented organization
Effective problem-solving, analytical thinking, cloud-native and security-first mind set, documentation, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to positively influence team norms, culture, and technical vision
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent area
Experience with cloud services such as Snowflake, Databricks, Synapse, SQL, CosmosDB, Data Factory, Event Hub, Functions, Batch, Key Vault, Managed Identity, Service Principal, Networking, Active Directory, Log Analytics, Monitoring
Windows and Linux server/systems administration experience is highly desired
Azure Administrator certification, Solution Architect, or Databricks Platform Administrator certification, Snowflake SnowPro certification is a strong plus
Experience with Azure cost management and forecasting is desired
Work Location and Arrangement : This role will be based out of one of the following locations and have a Hybrid work arrangement:
• Dallas, TX Technology Hub
• Richmond, VA Technology Innovation Center
