Job Title: Assembly Technician
Job Description
Are you passionate about craftsmanship and precision? Join our team as an Assembly Technician and start your journey in our grinding department. You'll learn to cut, bend, and measure metal, using basic shop math and company drawings. Even if you have prior experience, a refined touch and attention to detail are essential. Proficiency with power tools, tape measures, and an appreciation for craftsmanship are key.
Responsibilities
Master the grinding department processes, including cutting, bending, and measuring metal.
Apply basic shop math and follow detailed company drawings.
Use power tools with precision and care.
Develop skills across various operations, from grinding to welding.
Progress towards a MIG welding role.
Participate in quality assurance processes.
Contribute to the final assembly and craftsmanship of our product
Essential Skills
Proficiency with hand and power tools.
Experience in mechanical assembly.
Ability to interpret and follow blueprints and drawings.
Basic shop math skills.
Experience with grinding and sanding.
Understanding of powder coating processes.
Keen attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in artistry, upholstery, or related fields.
Familiarity with art equipment and fine motor skills.
Experience with sheet metal, carpentry, and fitting.
Knowledge of quality assurance practices.

Work Environment
Work in a clean, well-lit environment. Start at the drill press with raw aluminum, move through welding, grinding, the paint line, and QC processes to final assembly. We also have a dedicated sewing area where all cushions are hand-made.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
