At Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. The CPCCo Document Production team is seeking an Early Career Technical Writer and Editor to perform the following job duties and responsibilities, but not limited to the following: * Write and edit documents for readability, accuracy, and completeness. * Contribute technical writing and editing expertise to projects (e.g., presentations and in-process [developing] templates and documents). * Format documents of all sizes and complexities using Microsoft Word and Excel. * Edit documents for mechanics, grammar, and punctuation. * Ensure references, acronyms, appendices, tables, and figures are called out correctly in the text. * Ensure file configuration control for complex documents. * Follow and apply company and other industry-standard style guidelines. * Perform quality checks for final deliverables. Basic Qualifications * Intermediate Grade 14: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with 2 or more years of relevant experience. * Career Level Grade 16: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with 5 or more years of relevant experience. The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience. Desired Qualifications * BA/BS degree in English or Communications with an emphasis on rhetoric or technical and professional writing. * Advanced word processing skills using software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat. * Experience using Microsoft SharePoint and Adobe InDesign. * Resourceful and adaptable with an ability to work well within tight time frames. Compensation & Benefits In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates. Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week): * Intermediate Grade 14: $71,200 - $89,800 * Career Level Grade 16: $86,138 - $108,513 In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
