This onsite position may be based near either El Segundo, CA; North Texas; Aurora, CO; Florida or the Northeast.

The candidate will be responsible for provisioning and the configuration and support of software tools for Engineering use across Raytheon .

This will be a key team member helping the organization deliver service excellence around the following activities: Product Owner for a team of 8, technical lead & tool owner. Provide technical leadership in provisioning Software Engineering applications; helping program teams effectively use Software Engineering tools; installation support and compliance hardening; tool migrations; troubleshooting tool related problems; tailoring tools to specific program needs; supplier engagement for roadmaps and issue resolution; and identifying and documenting Software Engineering Solutions best practices. What You Will Do

  • Various SAFe Product Owner duties including PI Planning for the team, iteration (sprint) planning and execution, and team communication

  • Maintain relationship with stakeholders to ensure priorities and needs are being met for the services our team provides

  • Tool Owner / subject matter expert for Collaborator, Visual Studio and/or other Software Engineering applications

  • Apply technical expertise in Software Engineering to engage with programs on the implementation of Software Engineering solutions

  • Identify and champion improvements which help increase the efficiency of our software deployment and support

  • Develop technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience

  • Experience with a CI/CD tool suite

  • Administration experience with Windows and Linux, along with scripting / automation background and experience troubleshooting and solving complex problems

  • Implementation experience with SCRUM / Lean / Agile / Scaled Agile (SAFe) methodologies

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with software Integrated Development Environments (IDE) (examples are Eclipse, OpenJDK, SmartBear Collaborator, Visual Studio, etc) and/or SW analysis and test engineering tools (examples are Coverity, SonarQube, Google Test, VectorCAST, etc)

  • Expert knowledge of Collaborator and/or Visual Studio, particularly from a support perspective

  • Experience with real-time operating systems and compilers like Green Hills and/or Wind River

  • Experience with Software Engineering, DevSecOps and CI/CD processes and best practices

  • 3-6 years Program experience in Software Engineering

  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance

  • Project Management experience

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
