A-Gas is hiring a Plant Superintendent to lead operations teams which drive capacity and improve our production of reclaimed refrigerant gas at our plant in Rhome, Texas (15 min outside of Fort Worth).

In this role, you will be responsible for working with the Plant Manager in safe and efficient daily operations within multiple fast-paced production departments supporting the company's objectives that are outlined in both ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards including AHRI 700 Certification Programs, while following safety best practices.

Key Responsibilities

The Superintendent's objectives and accountabilities will be focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement, including but not limited to:

  • Ensure that health, safety, and environmental protocols are adhered to. Work closely with the Site HSE Manager to ensure a safe culture is promoted and sustained.

  • Promote a healthy work environment within the team and departments with a "Together we can" approach and attitude.

  • Supporting a culture is developed that ensures that we uphold our "ZERO" emissions standard.

  • Work closely with our Regional Continuous Improvement Manager and other department leaders in direct support of our Business Excellence Program to seek out opportunities to improve and establish measurable KPIs in each department's performance.

  • Demonstrate proven leadership skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Follow, enforce, and train site leaders and employees to establish policies, procedures, and recognized best practices.

  • Identify and address key concerns and risks that may alter or impact on-time delivery or complete order fulfillment.

  • Establish and oversee production schedules and their impact as they relate to other site operational departments.

  • Estimate costs and follow budgets accordingly.

  • Coordinate with the maintenance manager on the preventative and emergency maintenance required for critical operational equipment. Build and maintain a core working relationship with site maintenance techs as well as the full use of critical maintenance programs.

  • Meet and exceed all customer service requirements; both internal and external alike.

  • Assist in taking annual physical inventories following corporate procedures.

  • Maintain a solution-focused approach to all roadblocks and challenges.

  • Purchase required plant materials, consumables, etc.

  • Participate in hiring, coaching, and employee development.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

  • 5+ years working in chemical operations, processing operations, or similar industry, continuing education with bachelor's degree preferred.

  • 5+ years in progressive leadership roles within a manufacturing environment

  • Lean Manufacturing training and experience; Green belt certification or greater preferred

  • Strong process-driven approach, with key attention to detail and analytical capability

  • Leadership skills that complement a forward-thinking, innovative, and modern business practice

  • First-class presentation skills and ability to build strong relationships.

  • Excellent change management and time management skills with experience managing multiple teams.

    Pay will be commensurate with experience. The salary range for this position is starts at $92,000 and goes up based on experience. This role is also eligible for the company profit-sharing program and long term incentive program.
