Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Role Purpose
Supports Plant HR Manager to ensure that his/her plant has the right number and type of talent to execute plant strategy and achieve desired business results; Ensures plant establishes and maintains a positive work environment and operates as “One Corning” in support of Corning’s values; Assists in achieving or beating budgetary objectives in support of top quartile performance objectives while maintaining appropriate levels of HR service delivery; Assists in successful implementation of global HR business processes within the plant; Ensures plant compliance with HR-related legal and regulatory guidelines
Key Responsibilities
Encompass HR processes at RAM, as well, provide HR guideline to internal clients aligned to plant staff structure.
E2E process for new salaried employees
Provide C&B and org design structure guideline to assigned internal clients.
Close communication with plant talent to ensure and develop talent pipeline according to talent actions defined.
Land HR projects and assist HRM for plant activities.
Provide Labor Relations guideline and/or monitoring labor relations framework to assure a standardized environment.
Experiences
At least +2 years of HR experience (generalist/specialist combined)
Work experience supporting multiple client groups.
Proven experience E2E new salaried employees onboarding
Successful track record in deployment of HR processes and/or programs
Proven talent program needs assessment and gap analysis skills
Successful track record in the deployment of global HR business processes or programs
Able to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
High proficiency at Excel
Lean / Project deployment experience
Education
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, Organization Development or Labor Relations or equivalent qualification/experience
Master's Degree and HR Certification is a Plus
Fully bilingual
