If so, this position is for YOU.Commodity Managers are change agents, focused on delivering the highest value to internal and external customers at the lowest total cost.As a Commodity Manager (Tariff Mitigation), you will organize the team efforts for tariff impact tracking, USMCA compliance and mitigation actions. You will negotiate and manage these cost reduction aspects of PACCAR's relationship with suppliers, including the commercial/contractual requirements with respect to total cost, delivery and logistics. This position will be based out of the PACCAR Parts Division located in Renton, WA. Job Functions / Responsibilities Organize, negotiate & mitigate tariff impacts. Develop USMCA supplier compliance plans. Resource business as necessary to meet company objectives. Issue formal Requests For Information, Proposals and Quotes (RFI's, RFP's, and RFQ's) and analyze responses to make sound commercial judgments and sourcing recommendations. Develop, negotiate, and implement strategies resulting in lowest total cost,improved supply chain performance and enhanced product quality andprofitability. Investigate, evaluate, and implement new suppliers, strategic procurement strategies and logistical opportunities. Validate, manage and forecast payments related to tariffs. Communicate and conduct meetings and formal presentations with suppliers, plant, and division personnel at all management levels. Travel to supplier locations in order to evaluate capabilities, assess production readiness, investigate new opportunities, improve manufacturing efficiencies and resolve chronic supply and quality issues. Travel to PACCAR's operating locations in support of the above activities. Other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 5 years of sourcing, engineering, logistics or related experience. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form to various levels of management and suppliers. Experienced negotiator with demonstrated favorable results. Boast a good understanding of fundamental contract terms and be able to draft supply contracts. Possessan understanding of cost drivers and how changes in those drivers affect cost. Ability to perform market research to identify and evaluate potential new suppliers. Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities as well as PC skills (Word, Access & PowerPoint). Project Team participation and/or Project Management experience preferred. Experience with part purchasing, design, manufacturing, supply chain management and/or commercial truck or automotive experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field required. Graduate level degree (e.g. MBA) preferred.
