Are you an organized and detail-oriented financial professional seeking an engaging opportunity? Our client in Renton, WA, is searching for a dedicated Bookkeeper to join their team! In this pivotal role, you’ll support the company’s financial operations by managing accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial data, and maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.

Job Description: As a Bookkeeper, you’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities and ensuring that financial records are accurate and up to date. A successful candidate will excel in balancing priorities, working collaboratively, and adhering to deadlines. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Recording daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.

  • Reconciling bank statements and maintaining the general ledger.

  • Preparing monthly financial reports to support management decision-making.

  • Managing payroll processing and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Assisting with tax preparation and filing as needed.

  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

  • Managing and organizing financial documents for audits or reviews.

  • Assisting with budget preparation and expense tracking.

    Requirements

Qualifications: We are seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 2–3 years of bookkeeping, accounting, or financial record-keeping experience.

  • Education: Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with payroll software is a plus.

  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and diligence in financial data management.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies or financial errors.

  • Time Management: Experience in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities to work effectively with team members and stakeholders.

  • Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • Experience with multi-entity bookkeeping or working in the nonprofit or service industry.

  • Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) or certifications such as Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
