Perform small scale purification studies to support manufacturing processes.
Preparation and operation of chromatography systems for small scale purification experiments.
Perform basic laboratory support work such as preparation of solutions, sample submission, and equipment calibration.
Statistically analyze and review large data sets and draft technical reports to support studies.
Collaborate on a small team to come up with new ideas and innovative solutions.
Take lead on executing the purification of projects and perform project management duties.
Coordinate with a broader scientific team to align on lab activities and processes.
Comply with all GxP standards, GHS policies, and current written procedures and protocols.
Present on technical topics during cross functional meetings.
Work in a fast-paced lab environment.
Balance multiple projects and tasks, prioritize and execute them independently, while communicating with all impacted parties.
Leadership responsibilities
Supports and monitors performance of team of analysts, including coordination of work assignments.
Participate in new hire interviews.
Supports the on-boarding process of new employees.
Participates in training of other employees.
Executes performance reviews and delivers feedback to employees.
Ensures proper time management and workload requirements of team are met.
Engages in leadership development trainings.
Must have a BS/BA in life sciences or related field.
Ability to work in a fast paced and collaborative team environment.
Can take on new and sometimes ambiguous challenges, learning quickly.
Experience with Microsoft suite (word, excel, powerpoint).
Experience in a lab environment.
Basic understanding of chromatography processes.
Position is full-time, Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, NY are encouraged to apply. Pay is between $26-32/hr, level is determined based on qualifications relevant to the role.
