Bilingual Administrative Assistant

SCHEDULE: Full Time;

8-hour shift;

Day shift;

Monday to Friday

LOCATION: Reno, NV

SALARY:

$18.64 per hour

If so, look no further than Community Services Agency! CSA is seeking a highly organized and customer-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our team in various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and be proficient in office management. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively manage multiple tasks while maintaining a professional demeanor. MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to:

  • Work as part of a team and maintain effective relationships with others;
  • Learn and apply the policies and procedures of assigned program area;
  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions and read and interpret various materials pertaining to the responsibilities of the job;
  • Operate office equipment, including a multi-line telephone, computer, printer, fax machine, etc.;
  • Organize and maintain filing systems, assemble and analyze information, prepare reports and records in a clear and concise manner, maintain confidentiality concerning client records and operations, and communicate effectively in written and oral form;
  • Perform required mathematical calculations quickly and accurately;
  • React calmly and professionally in emergency or stressful situations.

Knowledge of:

  • Basic principles of recordkeeping and report preparation;
  • Proper grammar, spelling and basic mathematics.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Graduation from high school or GED equivalent and basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple mathematical functions; bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Requires the ability to exert some physical effort, such as walking, standing and light lifting; minimal dexterity in the use of fingers, limbs and body in the operation of the office equipment; may require extended periods of time at a computer.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Normal office environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Answers the telephone; provides accurate information and/or forwards calls to appropriate staff; greets and assists office visitors;

``` - Assists Agency personnel with the management of programs or projects as assigned; - Communicates and interacts with clients and program managers; processes paperwork; maintains records and files, and prepares related correspondence and reports; - Types, prepares and/or proofreads routine correspondence, reports, etc.; - Performs other clerical work as required, including but not limited to copying and filing documents, receiving and distributing mail, preparing outgoing mail, assembling materials, etc.; - Assists with the training of new personnel in routine office procedures; attends staff meetings and in-service training as required; - Maintains a neat and orderly office environment; - Collects, enters and analyzes data for report preparation; - Performs other duties as may be assigned.
